After our wonderful visit at Felsina, our plan was to have lunch in Castel Nuovo Berardenga. Everything was closed because of New Years, so we drove to Florence to have lunch at Il Porcospino, one of our favorite restaurants in Firenze! These vidoes follow our travels with 2 from Felsina and then a couple from Florence. The biggest disappointment was not being able to go out for New Years Eve with our Italian friends from Vicchio, the small town near our house. We were just too exhausted from a full day of driving 2 hours each way to Felsina and then walking all around Florence before and after lunch. The next day our friends told us we missed the most incredibile party as the host barbequed a whole side of beef! That's party time Italian style! They promised to re-create this party atmo when we return in June! We will try to do (fare) the same at our house as these friends started out as business acquaintances. He's our contractor and we just had work done on our house. It's great to be making friends with local Italians!
